Sounds of Levi COGIC is a place for worship, divinely designed to promote healing in the local community.
We reach out to build creative networks and partner with ministries and civic organizations to advance the Kingdom of God in our homes, neighborhoods, and the world.
How We Live It
• Grace-Led: We are imperfect people, saved by grace, learning to live in His perfect love.
• Sacrificial: We "give to live by living to give," using our time, talents, and treasures.
• Apostolic: We teach, preach, evangelize, and prophesy under an apostolic mantle.
• The Goal: Helping others choose Jesus Christ, as instructed in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20).

Pastor Tommy Ross
About Pastor Tommy
Pastor Tommy began playing the saxophone at the age of 12, developing a deep love for music that would later become a powerful tool in his ministry to the Lord. However, it was during these early years that something even greater captured his heart—the power of God at the altar.
Watching his uncle, Pastor Enoch Elijah Ross, conduct altar services left a profound impression on him. Pastor Ross ministered with bold faith, commanding demons to leave people under the authority of the Holy Spirit—and Pastor Tommy witnessed those demons obey. Seeing the miraculous power of God at work stirred a deep love for the Lord within him and awakened a desire to serve God wholeheartedly.
As he grew, Pastor Tommy began to recognize that ministry ran deeply through his family. On both his mother’s and father’s sides, many relatives were involved in the work of the Lord—not only as musicians and vocalists, but also as ministers who prayed for the sick, laid hands on people, and witnessed lives transformed as many accepted Christ.
Seeing this spiritual heritage led Pastor Tommy to wonder if his family might carry a calling similar to the biblical tribe of Levi. This curiosity inspired him to study the Scriptures more deeply, particularly the areas concerning tabernacle worship, the Levites, and their role in ministry as those ordained and set apart by God to serve Him.
Immediately after high school, Pastor Tommy joined the United States Army, where he served as a Combat Emergency Field Flight Medic. He served three years of active duty in the United States Army and continued his service for four additional years in the California National Guard with the 1/43 Evacuation Hospital in Los Alamitos, California.
Pastor Tommy has always had a strong passion for learning and ministry. He loves Sunday School, Bible Band, music ministry, and outreach, and his passion for God has taken him across many churches and fellowships. Over the years, he has served in various roles, including minister, musician, and youth pastor, working with multiple denominations throughout the United States.
He attended Azusa Pacific University, where he pursued studies in music and ministry certification.
In 2012, Pastor Tommy became the pastor of Sounds of Levi Church of God in Christ, where he continues to shepherd and teach the people of God.
Beyond the local church, Pastor Tommy has 3 loving children: Thomas Boomer, Brittany Janelle, and Kyra DeNae, married in children Malachi and Rachelle, children that are grand to him: Jojo, Sophie Noel, Jasper, and Jaycee. He also serves as a Bishop of Global Ministries in Greater Faith International Fellowship, assisting pastors and ministry leaders around the world, including in Kenya, Pakistan, Korea, Ethiopia, and Central America.
Pastor Tommy believes that education never stops, God’s love never fails, and seeking the face of God is a lifelong pursuit. His message reminds believers that we are imperfect people saved by grace, learning daily to live in the perfect love of Christ Jesus.
He often declares that it is “W.O.W. Time”; the time for the Wondrous Omnipotent Works of the Triune God manifested through miracles, signs, and wonders.
